This one-of-a-kind event will take place from February 26 to March 2, at the Everest Hotel in Kathmandu. The event will spotlight BYD’s expansive lineup, including models from its innovative sub-brands: Fangchangbao, Denza, and the high-end Yangwang series. These brands are synonymous with cutting-edge technology, eco-friendly design, and futuristic features that are set to reshape the automotive landscape in Nepal.
The Fang Cheng Bao Leopard 5 is a plug-in hybrid SUV that blends performance with cutting-edge technology. It features a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with two electric motors, delivering 505 kW (677 hp) and 760 Nm of torque. A 31.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery offers an all-electric range of up to 125 kilometres.
The Leopard 5 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. Its off-road capabilities are highlighted by an approach angle of 35 degrees and a departure angle of 32 degrees. The vehicle's substantial dimensions include a length of 4890 mm, a width of 1970 mm, a height of 1920 mm, and a wheelbase of 2800 mm.
Next is the Denza D9, a luxury electric minivan powered by dual motors producing 313 hp, paired with a 77.9 kWh battery for over 400 km of range. Its interior is designed for comfort, featuring leather seating, a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, and a panoramic sunroof. The D9 also includes a semi-autonomous driving system for enhanced safety.
The Denza Z9 GT combines luxury and performance. With a 77 kWh battery, it offers a range of around 500 km and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Inside, it features a 14.7-inch touchscreen and digital display, along with safety tech like blind-spot detection and emergency braking.
For power and rugged utility, the BYD Shark pickup truck stands out. It’s equipped with a 250 kW electric motor, producing 340 hp, and boasts a towing capacity of 2,500 kg. A 90 kWh battery provides a range of 450 km, and the intelligent four-wheel-drive system adapts to various terrains for superior performance.
Finally, the Yangwang U8 is a high-performance electric off-road SUV, featuring dual motors that deliver 653 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Its 106 kWh battery offers up to 600 km of range.
The U8’s intelligent four-wheel-drive system ensures optimal performance on any terrain, and its advanced autonomous driving capabilities provide effortless navigation. With its amphibious feature, the U8 can float on water at up to 2.9 km/h for 30 minutes, while its 360-degree tank turn capability sets it apart in the luxury SUV market.
